Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. She is most famous for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick earned an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and therapist for families, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was an investor in venture capital.
